BENIN—PRESIDENT of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Dr. Felix Omobude, has advised political office holders as well as leaders at all levels, to be wary of the consequences of their utterances and actions to avert plunging the country into an avoidable crisis.
He also expressed concern over recent political developments in the country and the series of infractions in the political space, saying that they were unnecessary for the development of the country.
The PFN president, in a statement in Benin City, Edo State, yesterday through his Media Assistant, Deacon Ralph Okhiria, condemned the recent occupation of the National Assembly by officers of the Department of State Services, DSS, just as he applauded the then acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, for his firm and immediate response.
He enjoined those concerned in the action to take note of the fact that there can be no justification for such an act, which he said was clearly inimical to Nigeria’s democratic credentials, adding that such misdemeanour was capable of truncating democratic rule in Nigeria.
