ENWANG- MORE  than 4,000 patients from  Enwang, Ebughu, Effiat, Uda and Udesi communities  in Mbo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, received free medical treatment from a team of medical experts  sponsored by Oriental Energy Resources Limited, an indigenous oil firm at the Primary Healthcare, Enwang, headquarters of the council,  recently.

The project was tagged “Free Comprehensive Medical Outreach” and many patients were treated for various ailments, including hypertension, diabetes, malaria, cataract and hepatitis B without charge of charge. It was part of an annual programme put together by the oil firm.

Deputy Manager, Community Relations of Oriental Energy Resources Limited, Anslem Okere, explained that the programme was part of his company’s efforts to impact positively on the host communities and complement the efforts of the government, adding that the firm has also provided other social investments in the host communities to make life more meaningful for the citizens.
