YENAGOA—THE Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Bayelsa State chapter, has cried out to the state government to pay the three months salary arrears owed workers in the state.

State chairman of NLC, Mr. John Ndiomu, in a statement in Yenagoa yesterday, said workers in the state were still being owed outstanding salary arrears since 2016, noting that the payment will go a long way in reducing the plight of workers and improve their well being.
Ndiomu said: “We are being owed three months salary arrears by the state government and we are calling their attention to the need to pay now that we are out of the recession.
“We agreed that in the past two years, salaries have been paid regularly but the arrears are still our major concern, especially now that the economy is improving.”
