NFF Crisis: Okotie-Eboh commends FG for intervention

Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh, founder of Progressive Alliance Movement, PAM, and son of Nigeria’s first Finance Minister, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh, has commended the Federal government for its timely intervention in averting the proposed FIFA’s ban, noting that the Amaju Pinnick-led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is competent.

Okotie-Eboh, made this known in an interview with newsmen yesterday in Warri.

According to him, Mr Amaju Pinnick has placed Nigeria in strategic position where no decision can be taken in continental and global football without Nigeria’s input.

Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh,

“The President of NFF, Mr Amaju Pinnick who has attained the position of (1st Vice President of CAF) that no other Nigerian before him has attained should be encouraged.

“We should not bring politics and self interest into sports because we don’t need zoning here, just featuring the best to win the game, Amaju Pinnick knows the game, he can play the football politics so he should be giving the space to play the game.

“Again the Buhari led administration has just shown Nigerian through its invention that this is a listening and patriotic government “. He added.
