Former Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Chairman, Mr Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has declared his intention to contest the House of Representatives, Isoko Federal Constituency with a promise to deliver Isoko from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leadership.

This came as two Special Advisers to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and 500 others, weekend,  defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Onowakpo-Thomas, while officially declaring his intention to contest for the House of Representatives, Isoko Federal Constituency, assured the Isoko nation that he will sponsor people oriented bills and ensure that issues that have positive impact on their lives are pursued if given their mandate in the 2019 general election.

Earlier in their speeches,  Lucky Arumari, Special adviser to  the Governor on Community Development and Deaconess Lizzy Ejenavwo, Special Adviser  to the Governor on Women Mobilization who spoke on behalf of the defectors, said nothing good will come out of the PDP in Delta State, hence they decided to join the APC  to move Isoko forward.
