Group vows to mobilise traditional rulers, town unions for Metuh

ANAMBRA Progressive Union, an umbrella group of professional, political and town unions in Anambra State has vowed to commence mobilisation of Southeast traditional rulers, religious leaders, student unions and related bodies highlight what it yesterday alleged as the discriminations against Chief Olisa Metuh.

The group in a statement made available to Vanguard yesterday drew attention to the situation where it claimed that Chief Metuh, whose health challenges preceded his judicial trial had been denied the permission to attend to his health.

Noting the fact that even those accused of far higher charges had been allowed to travel for religious and other pleasures, that the authorities have continued to deny Metuh the opportunity to attend to his health.

The statement was signed by Mr. Amechi Onowu, Coordinator, Mr. Obinna Okafor, Secretary and others.
