Don’t extort money from contractors, Ifowodo warns community youths

OLEH—The  Com-missioner  representing Delta State on the board of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Ogaga Ifowodo, has warned youths in the region against extorting contractors to ensure speedy completion of the commission’s projects in their domains.

Speaking at a town hall meeting held at the secretariat of Isoko Development Union, IDU, in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of the state, Ifowodo reiterated the commitment of NDDC to the revaluation and execution of projects that are yet to be approved by the commission.

Listing the  Ibrede – Iyede Ame – Onogbokor – Abor Road and the Asagba Primary School renovation among projects approved  for the Isoko nation by the commission, he assured that the commission would strive to revalue and approve Isoko mega projects for construction.

Explaining that NDDC has over 10, 000 projects in the nine oil producing states before it which he said could not be approved at the same time due to paucity of funds, he disclosed that some contractors that had been mobilised are returning to site.
