Nigerian pop star, David Adeleke also known as Davido is on a journey to tying up loose ends in his life as he begins the one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Lagos.
The singer who graduated from Babcock University in 2015 announced his participation in the scheme on his Instagram page where he posted a picture of himself clothed in a complete NYSC uniform. To Davido, serving his fatherland might be a necessity but to others like Tonto Dike and Tunde Ednut, it is part of the ‘IF’ hit maker’s plan to vie for a political position in the future.
Simi makes Nollywood debut in ‘Mokalik’
Talented songstress, Simi is spreading her tentacles in the entertainment industry as she recently accepted her first movie script. The ‘Jamb Question’ singer is set to make her acting debut in ‘Mokalik’ ( Mechanic), a movie by ace film maker, Kunle Afolayan.
The singer will play the character Simi; daughter of a Buka (cafeteria)owner whose character holds a significant part in the movie plot. She will also act alongside Nollywood heavyweights like Femi Adebayo, Ayo Adesanya, Fathia Williams, Lateef Oladimeji and many others.
Toke Makinwa set to launch music career
Media personality and author of ‘On Becoming’, Toke Makinwa is set to add music to her list of careers.
The entrepreneur and video blogger revealed this on her Instagram page with a picture of herself during a studio session and captioned it “Something is coming, working with the greatest Cobhams Asuquo. 9ice remarries via social media
Indigenious singer, Abolore Akande popularly known as 9ice has given marriage another shot years after failed marriage with first wife, Toni Payne.
However, unlike his first publicly celebrated wedding ceremony, his traditional wedding with U.S- based Engineer, Adetola was witnessed by few friends and family only. Also, Adetola who was unable to visit Nigeria for the ceremony gave her speech through social media video application, Skype.

The popular saying, “If you don’t blow your trumpet, who will?” might just be ringing true for singer and songwriter, Oritsefemi who has crowned himself the best artiste in Nigeria. The ‘Double Wahala’ crooner took to his Twitter page to make the declaration as he took a swipe at ‘Hypocrites’ who, according to him, have refused to play his new song and also give awards based on familiarity.
He wrote, “I know some people will be waiting for me to buy them car before they play my songs that I just dropped lately and still give all the awards to their people too. I’m still the best artist Nigeria has produced.”
“Hypocrite, them no sha fit pursue me from my own country, that na one thing I know for sure,” he added.
Anto survives auto crash
Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Anto is thankful for life as she recently survived a car accident. According to her, “When people were celebrating Eid with their families, I was having a near-death experience.
But I thank the Almighty Allah for life.” The reality star shared the news on Instagram with a picture of her damaged car as she further urged her fans to make the most of their lives.
