THE Initiative for Positive Influence on African Youth, IPIAY, has confered a pan-African Leadership Award on Prince Ola Adebogun as Icon of Societal and Human Capital Development.
According to IPIAY, Adebogun earned the Pan-African Prize for Excellence in Leadership for spending over N19 million annually on scholarships for African youths and for providing quality leadership.
Pointing out that Adebogun is a worthy example and an inspiration to African youths, it lauded him for his immense contribution to nation- building, community development, effective service delivery to Nigerians, remarkable patriotism, selfless and dedicated service to God, humanity, country and Africa at large.
It said: “A gold fish has no hiding place. Accra, Ghana-based IPIAY identified Prince Ola Adebogun, the visitor to Caleb University, Imota, Lagos as a positive influence on African youths. To this end, the President of the Initiative, Mr. David Christopher, represented by the Vice-President, Mr. Kwassi Austin was at Caleb University to honour Adebogun with this prestigious award.”
Coordinator of the Initiative, Mr. Paul Matthew introduced the group’s Director, Action and Mobilisation, who read the president’s speech. Others in the delegation include Miss Francisca Etongo, Vice-President, Central Africa/ Cameroon and Mr. Confidence John, Media Director.
In the President’s speech, he said: “Do your duties and history will do you good.” He described Adebogun as “a rare gem, administrative icon, a man of outstanding understanding and a true son of Africa.”
