Enyimba FC are in for a tightrope walk this afternoon in Bamako, as they face Djoliba of Mali in a battle for who makes the knockout stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Enyimba need a win to bounce back into reckoning after losing back to back games to CARA Brazzaville of Congo and Williamsville of Cote d’ Ivoire, a result, which topple them from the heights of group C.
Djoliba are also looking for a win to remain in contention, after losing to Enyimba in their first group encounter in Calabar.
“We are in Bamako for business and we are here to pick the three points is our priority. It is a Do or Die Affair as we came here to prove a point and also prove our critics wrong by picking up a win away from home and we believe by God’s grace we will come back with the win,”said midfielder Dare Ojo. However, Djoliba captain Emile Kone said Enyimba will have nowhere to hide.
“Enyimba beat us in Nigeria, it’s simple we are also going to beat them here and we are looking to beat early in the match before they get the chance to settle.
“Everyone knows we have an obligation to win tomorrow else we are out of the competition. So tomorrow’s game is crucial and we have to win tomorrow, whatever the cost.”
