Ilorin–Worried by their continuous claims to the All Progressives Congress(APC) after defecting to Peoples Democratic Party, group under the auspices of Congress of Kwara Progressives (CKP) has tasked the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to take speedy and judicial action that will end the agitations of the dissolved Ishola Balogun-Fulani led executives in Kwara state.
CKP in a communique issued weekend at the end of its political summit in Ilorin, the state capital also urged all progressives social/political groups in the state to join APC to actualise their dreams come 2019 elections in the state.
The group further admonished all prospective aspirants into elective positions under the platform of the APC in Kwara state,”To thread softly by subsuming their individual interests into the larger and collective interest of the party and the state ”
The communique was signed by the Convener of the summit, Hon Dele Shittu, made available to Vanguard in Ilorin.
The communique among others reads:
“The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC)was called upon to ensure a speedy and exhaustive judicial action that would quickly end the agitation of members of the dissolved kwara state APC executives who are in justifiably laying claims to the structure of the party in the state”
“Concerted efforts coupled with serious mobilisation, sensitisation and proper organisations be made towards the 2019 elections in the state to enable APC win the state from those holding it to ransom.”
“It was agreed upon that purposeful, progressive and a clear vision government be must be enthroned in the state after the current government and dynastic government must have been sent packing in 2019;
“Members were also implored to adopt fairness, equity and unity of purpose in all their activities in the state.”
The group also advocated a replication of this kind of political summit in all the 16 local government areas of the state, adding that would ensure cohesion, unity and progress of the APC in the state.
