Nwankwo made his intention known at the Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area secretariat of APGA.

With his supporters and the council executives, Nwankwo also went to the state secretariat of the party in Awka where the Chief Norbert Obi-led state executive received him with commendation.

Thereafter, he unveiled a multi-million Naira empowerment programme for 1,500 constituents that cut across party lines.

He presented vehicles to all the chairmen, women leaders and youth leaders of the three council areas in his federal constituency, namely, Njikoka, Dunukofia and Anaocha. All the ward chairmen, secretaries and youth leaders among others were also rewarded.

Speaking, Nwankwo said that the annual presentation through the Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo Foundation was in fulfilment of his vow to God to give back to the society.

He clarified that the items were not funded by government but was in continuation of his more than 15 years of charity works that pre-dated his entry into politics. The charity works include annual free medicare, scholarship programme, poverty alleviation scheme, widowhood support, and youth/women empowerment.

Among the items distributed to constituents were vehicles, generating sets, sewing machines, grinding machines, bags of rice and cash gifts.

At the event, Senator Victor Umeh described Nwankwo as an embodiment of what a representative should be and urged them to continue to support Nwankwo, the party and their good works to ensure the state remains a shinning example for others nationwide.

One of those who got a bus, Mrs Ngozi Obiekwe from Agulu and the APGA Woman Leader for Anaocha LGA, described Dozie Nwankwo as a representative worthy of emulation because he has remained consistent in touching the lives of his supporters and has regular annual programmes through which he puts smiles on the lips of citizens across the state.
