The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria in collaboration with Saudi Arabian Establishment of Mutawif for Pilgrims from African non Arab countries have charged Nigerian Hajj officials to strictly adhere to guidelines during movement to Mina and Arafat.

The two bodies gave the charge during an on the spot tour of Mina (the tent city) and Arafat plain organized for the officials by the Saudi Arabian Hajj authorities to familiarize themselves with plans put on ground for a successful this hajj exercise.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Co-ordinator in Makkah, Doctor Aliyu Tanko in the company of official of the Saudi Arabia Mutawif Establishment, Mr. Yassir Mare who took the officials round the facilities, warned that on no account should the strategies put in place be derailed.

Doctor Tanko who pointed out that necessary steps have been taken to ensure that a hitch free Hajj is achieved, urged the officials to give maximum co-operation and support to the laid down measures.

According to him, the routes to be plied by buses to convey pilgrims to Mina and Arafat plain have been demarcated clearly and should be adhered to.

NAHCON Co -ordinator in Makkah explained that the officials were taken round to see things practically for themselves to ensure compliance during the exercise.

The Saudi Arabian authorities recently declared Monday August 20, as Arafat Day and the following day Tuesday Eid-il-Adha celebration.
