Zidora Aid Foundation, ZAF, the Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, arm of Zidora Group, has reiterated its commitment to continue to invest in and support the less privileged in Nigeria.

Dr. Arinze Fortune Madueke, founder/president, ZAF, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Zidora Group, a company with focus on travels and tours, agriculture & food services, Pharmaceuticals, oil and gas and real estate, made the commitment in a brief chat with newsmen in his Lagos office, saying: “my first and primary focus is to uplift the standard of living of the downtrodden in our society.

I will not be interested in politics, charity/humanitarian affairs or even in business if it does not concern the people. If it does not concern the little boy and girl hawking along the road, when he or she is supposed to be in school, it doesn’t make any sense to me.”

He said that four years into its existence, Zidora Aid Foundation has succeeded in offering scholarship to a number of secondary and tertiary students and also distributes educational materials to students at the beginning of each term.

According to him, the foundation has also championed several community development projects both in Lagos and Anambra states, while several hospital bills have been paid by the foundation. He added that ZAF has been at the forefront of offering relief materials in times of difficulty or disaster.

Explaining the reason behind the formation of the foundation, he said: “Every now and then, people always come bringing one problem or another. After sometime, we decided that we needed a channel through which we can render help and also offer some of our friends the chance to also give to the needy.

“Right now, we are working out a plan so that those who have a need can get direct assistance from a donor within our platform. But essentially, ZAF has helped us to really reach out to the less privileged. It has also helped us to commit certain part of our earnings to community service.”
