OLEH—A stalwart of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Prince Etareri Okorodudu, has advised the leadership of all political parties to guide their members against violence and acts capable of impeding the smooth conduct of the 2019 general election.
Fielding questions from newsmen, Okorodudu said rancour, acrimony and smear campaign were inimical to the growth and development of democracy in the country.
He said: “At this stage of our democracy, elections should be allowed to be won and lost through the use of ballot papers on election days.
“Therefore, everyone seeking political offices must be given a level playing ground by political parties and members of the communities. The people should be allowed to express themselves in choosing the representatives of their choice through the use of ballot papers.”
