OSOGBO — THE  All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State has urged governorship aspirants in the party to continue with the friendly  spirit with which they have prosecuted their campaign for the primary election in the best interest of  the state.

In a statement by its Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy , Mr. Kunle Oyatomi, the APC reminded the aspirants that, “whoever wins becomes the party candidate and symbol of its aspirations and plans for the progress of the state.”

Oyatomi said: “It is encouraging that most of the aspirants have lived up to their signed pledges to run their campaign in a spirit consistent with loyalty, commitment to party  ideals  and respect for the rules of this exercise.

“We are delighted that, so far, no incidence of intra-party discord or bad blood has been reported since the campaign started. It is our hope, therefore, that the spirit of goodwill that has  characterised  this exercise will continue to the end.

“Also, it is to be expected of each aspirant that the over-riding spirit of good sportsmanship will mark the primary right up to the outcome of the exercise.”
