As part of efforts towards prison reformation and encourage literary among the prisons inmates in Ogun State, the Nigerian Prison authorities have commissioned a library for the inmates.

The Comptroller of Prison, Ogun State Command , Abolade Benson who commissioned the library at Ijebu-Ode prisons facilitated by Zaccheus Onumba Dibiaezue Memorial libraries, said the gesture was to give inmates free access to books for their exams. Benson who commended the facilitator for the gesture said it was part of Prison reformation by the Comptroller-General of Prison , assuring that any inmate that wants to further his or her education would be assisted.
Benson said: “the Comptroller-General of Prison is determined to reposition prison services.Just last week 13 inmates were matriculated by National Open University. It is part of the efforts to ensure that the prison is reformed . The Chief Executive Officer of Zacheus Onabuze Dibiaezure memorial libraries, Mrs. Ego Mbagwu said the gesture was to take education to Nigerian Prisons.
