Nigeria international, Kelechi Nwakali has signed a one year loan deal with Portuguese giants, FC Porto from Arsenal of England after having his medical in Lisbon, Tuesday.
The attacking midfielder who last played for Dutch side, VVV Venlo and MVV Maastricht said he sees the Porto move as a new challenge.
He said the move to Portugal will give him a chance to play regular football which will enhance his improvement as a footballer.
He noted that as a young player, he mus learn to adapt to any situation he finds himself in his bid to become a world class player.
The versatile midfielder revealed that the weather in Portugal brings him nearer home because it is warm and humid like the prevalent weather in West Africa.
The former junior international who still has a three-year contract with Arsenal said he wants to prove himself in Portugal and become an influential player in the Portuguese league.
He said FC Porto is a competitive team who always feature in the UEFA Champions League and encourage youngsters to blossom.
The former captain of the World Cup-winning Golden Eaglets said he was already settling down to life in Lisbon and he has been getting so much support and encouragement from compatriot and Super Eagles team mate, Chidozie Awaziem.
