CHAIRMAN of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, yesterday received a vote of confidence from Savers Empowerment Ambassadors Initiative of Nigeria, SEAIN.
Magu was commended for his honest fight against corruption in the country and recording victory for the Nigerian judicial system by convicting some ex-governors who looted the treasury.
Speaking at press a conference, chairman of SEAIN, Frank Ramsey Ezike, said many foreigners can accept to go into business transactions and negotiations with Nigerians today because of the ebullient fight of the EFCC boss.
According to Ezike, “the call for Magu’s removal from office at the peak of his dogged fight to redeem the battered image of the country is totally uncalled for.
“The Nigerian judicial system recorded some victory by sentencing some ex-governors to jail. This arose because of his commitment to fishing out individuals who embezzled public fund entrusted in their care during their time in government and making their subjects to remain in abject poverty and their state still underdeveloped.
“Savers Empowerment Ambassadors Initiative of Nigeria is advising Mr Magu to remain focused and not allow himself to be distracted. To whom much is given, much is expected.”
