Late Vanguard reporter, Enyim Enyim buried in his hometown

ABAKALIKI—THE remains of former Vanguard reporter in Awka, Anambra State, Mr. Enyim Oko Enyim were weekend, laid to rest in his hometown of Ihie Agbor village Amasiri in Afikpo North local government area of Ebonyi State.

Officiating in an open air service at Ihie Agbor village in Amasiri, Pastor Christian Obiaku admonished the gathering on the need for them to serve God and humanity while alive, adding that every man would be remembered by what he or she had done.

He called on politicians to be careful in their dealings with the electorate as the 2019 election draws nearer, stressing that the purpose of election was not for people to cause mayhem but to give citizens the opportunity to elect their leaders into positions of authority.

Funeral orations were read  by members of the deceased family, Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ebonyi State Council, among others.

The funeral ceremony was attended by friends and members of the family including the Regional Editor of Vanguard Newspapers, Mr. Emeke Mamah, Reporters of Vanguard Newspapers within the South East  zone, members and executives of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ebonyi State Council, Anambra State Council, the deceased tenants’ in Enugu State, chairman of Afikpo North local government area of the state, Mr. Oko Enyim among others.
