Nigeria and Arsenal striker, Alex Iwobi is keen to sign a new contract keeping him at the Emirates Stadium till 2022. This is despite interest from Serie A side Lazio. Iwobi, the attacking midfielder, has two years’ left to run on his existing deal, and there have been suggestions he would be leaving the Emirates this summer following Unai Emery’s appointment as the club’s new manager.
Lazio and Milan have been linked with making a move for the 22-year-old, but the Mirror of London say Iwobi has agreed terms on an improved deal to stay in north London. Iwobi provided just three goals and five assists in 26 league appearances last term.
