The National Leader of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governors Aminu Waziri Tambuwwal and Abubakar Bagudu of Sokoto and Kebbi States respectively have on Friday paid a condolence visit to Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman over the death of the former Inspector General of Police, late Ibrahim Ahmadu Coomassie.
Former Governors, Senator Magatakarda Wammako (Sokoto), Senator Adamu Aliero (Kebbi) and Senator Sani Ahmed Yerima (Zamfara) equally joined to paid a condolence visit on the Emir.
Speaking during the condolence visit, Tinubu described Coomassie as a leader of leaders who is concerned about the welfare of Nigerians in the areas of security.
Governor Tambuwwal described the death of late Coomassie as a big to the nation and not the north or Katsina state alone.
Earlier, the Federal government delegation led the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari and the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris who paid a condolence visit on the Emir also presented a seperate condolence message letters to him.
Responding the Emir, Dr. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman described the death of the former IGP, Coomassie and the fortnight heavy downpour that claimed lives of many and properties as a trial time.
