ILORIN—THE University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, yesterday insisted that the ongoing staff screening exercise in the institution was not to witch-hunt any staff.
Speaking through its Registrar, Dr Folaranmi Modupe Olowoleni, the school said it was aimed at ensuring credibility, truthfulness and create an avenue for staff yet to obtain their certificates from their various institutions to do so.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the registrar said “We need to assure all and sundry that the ongoing exercise is not to witch-hunt anyone but get our records straight. So, our staff should be rest assured that we are not witch-hunting anyone please.”
The Registrar, who assumed duty on April 30, 2018, also promised to build on the successes of her predecessor, Mr. Emmanuel Dada Obafemi, on training and re-training of staff.
According to her, there would be a new template for the programme to take a new dimension and ensure that all staff were carried along to ensure higher productivity and improved service delivery.
She also said that the institution would not condone indiscipline and indolence on duty, but would advise staff members to be hardworking, dedicated, and diligent while promising to reward such attitude.
