…commends the Agency for intensifying financial crime fight.

The Big Church Group chairman, Dr. Olakunle Churchill has commended the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC for keeping faith with people’s expectations in pursuance of financial related crimes in the country.
He said that the fight has been intensified positively with the team under Ibrahim Magu despite ill feelings from quarters that the agency is selective in the fight against corruption in the country.
Dr. Churchill made this remark during the commissioning of the Agency’s new building in Abuja where he appeared as a special guest. The new EFCC headquarters’ building worth N24 billion was commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja yesterday and the event attracted the presence of important personalities in the corridors of power and specially invited guests that include former President of South Africa Mr Thabo Mbeki, Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogora and others.
The chairman, Big Church Group, Dr. Olakunle Churchill was received by the EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Magu on his arrival to the new office complex launch as a special guest amidst insinuation of crime charges. The popular philanthropist and ICT specialist has long established a relationship with the security agency following their on-going project partnerships.
Reacting to the reception accorded him by the EFCC team, contrary to speculations on the social media that the Agency was in his trial for financial crime offence by him, Churchill took to his instagram page to debunk the assertion and post some comments: “In truth, the fight against corruption has been intensified in Nigeria with the commissioning of this gigantic architectural masterpiece by President Mohammadu Buhari yesterday.
The new EFCC headquarters in Abuja has one of the best state of the arts security facilities in Africa and am humbled to be one of the invited special guests who witnessed this historical ceremony contrary to a belief that I am been hunted by the same Agency that welcomed me with honour.
Indeed, the fight against corruption is the duty of every citizen. If you see something, say something and EFCC will do something.” Obviously, no one can pull down a man with the GRACE of God,” Dr. Churchill added.
