BENIN—Oba Ewuare II Foundation, in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment, weekend organised a skill acquisition programme aimed at training 50 youths in the state including returnees from Libya.
The training will be on entrepreneurship skills such as liquid soap making, baby powder, hair cream, baby oil and weavon oil among others.
Speaking, the Face of Oba Ewuare II Foundation, Miss Ifueko Aideyan, expressed the readiness of the foundation to engage youths in training in order for them to be self-reliant and advised youths to key into the programme.
According to her, the Oba Ewuare II Foundation was determined to eradicate poverty among youths through skill acquisition and financial empowerment.
Speaking earlier, the state Coordinator of National Directorate of Employment, Mrs. Ayo Edegbai, thanked His Royal Majesty for his efforts in ensuring that human trafficking, illegal migration and other social vices in the state were stamped out.
