NICOL confers with PADAA 2018 in Ghana

MANAGING Director, Harlem international limited. Rev. (Sir) Jonathan Nicol who also doubles as the President, Shippers Association, Lagos State, has been conferred with the prestigious Pan-African Distinguished Achievers Award, PADAA 2018 organised by African Independent Journalists and Broadcasters held in Accra, Ghana.

In his keynote address, the African Deputy Co-ordinator, Mr Adamu Baba, said the award was conferred on notable Africans from different walks of life who have contributed immensely to the development of their country and Africa in general, leaders with proven integrity and Nicol has distinguished himself as an amiable leader and African icon based on his contribution to socio-economic development and humanitarian service.

The recipient, a human capital development expert, has contributed towards the development of his country, Nigeria and Africa in general, in the Maritime sector.

Personalities present at the 2018 maiden edition included Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, MD, Unity Bank of Nigeria, Mrs. Oluwatomi Somefun who were also honoured.

Other dignitaries from different walks of life included captains of industry, the academia, traditional leaders, religious leaders and many more. The theme of the event was Pan-Africanism, the development of African by Africans through Technological Education delivered by an erudite scholar, Dr Francis Okumagba, Esq, GMD FMG who stated that Africa has to be re-oriented on technological education for way forward in development.

The lead discussant was Mr. Kwesi Pratt, C.E.O of Insight Newspaper, Ghana.
