ABUJA—A former chairman, Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, UK chapter and Coordinator General, Kwankwaso Presidential Campaign Organization, KPCO, Chief Ibrahim Emokpaire has formerly declared his intention to vie for the chairmanship position in the forthcoming National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in June.
Making his declaration in Abuja, Chief Emokpaire said his decision to vie for the top job in the party was informed by his desire to reposition the party to grow in size and relevance.
He also stated that part of his mission is to address the seeming intractable problems that becloud the progress of the party, which are traceable to the skewed priorities of who he called some greedy and corrupt politicians.
He also promised that his team would evolve a paradigm shift that will help inspire generations of party faithful and dynamic youthful participation towards a more productive and gainful politicking.
‘‘My mission for the party is to reposition the All Progressives Congress for growth nationwide in peace and unity, while my vision is to expand the party and sustain its relevance in Nigeria’s political space.”
