Nigerian women under the aegis of Independent International Female Ministers Coalition (IIFM) in conjunction with Mothers of the Nation Nigeria and Christian Welfare Initiative have called for more opportunities for women, reports Elizabeth Uwandu.


Commending the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, for her efforts so far in advocating women’s rights, the women pleaded with her to make good her promise to achieve better deal for women in all ramifications.

Speaking at the official launch of Better Deal for Women Campaign, tagged; ‘Respect the Rights of Women and Children to a Safe, Peaceful and Developed Nigeria, held at Rockview Hotel, FESTAC, Lagos recently,  president of Global Alliance for Mothers of the Nation, Ambassador Priscilla Otuya said the place of women has been subj-ugated over time despite the enormous roles they have played in the development of the country through prayers and intercessions.
