2019: I’ve not dumped GPN—Al-Mustapha

By  Dapo Akinrefon

FORMER Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (retd), has described as “false and mischief,” a report that he had abandoned the Green Party of Nigeria, GPN, of which he is a major stakeholder.

Al-Mustapha, in a statement by his spokesman, Mr. Babatunde Mustapha, said the report “is a gross act of mischief by whosoever created this unfounded story.”

Al-Mustapha, who maintained that he belonged to the GPN, said he “still remains solidly in the party.”

According to the release, Al-Mustapha is in the party for “the sole interests of our women and men, our youths, people with disability, our heroes, both living and dead.”

Describing the report as an offensive report and a figment of the writer’s wild imagination, he said: “GPN is gathering momentum alongside Hamza Al-Mustapha to step forward into the arena for the common people of Nigeria.”
