DEONTAY WILDER has chosen a bizarre location for where he wants his proposed fight with Anthony Joshua to take place.
Joshua beat Joseph Parker over 12 rounds to add the WBO heavyweight championship to his ever-growing collection.
After his win the Brit called out Wilder and claimed he wanted to unify the entire division by taking the American’s WBC belt.
The two are apparently set to begin negotiations over a block-buster bout, expected to take place in the summer, later this week.
However, there is much speculation as to whether the fight should take place in Britain or America.
But Wilder has had his say on the situation and bizarrely thinks it should occur on another planet completely.
“The people want this fight, which I’ve said for the last year and a half or so,” Wilder told Premier Boxing Champions.
“I’ve been the one saying I wanted the fight all of this time, so, let’s do it.
“As far as where it happens, it can happen anywhere.”
“I can’t wait until they colonise Mars. We can even do it there.”
Wilder’s comments obviously came tongue-in-cheek, but the 32-year-old was much more serious in his criticism of Joshua’s performance against Parker.
“After watching Joshua against Parker, it would be an easier fight than I thought. I’m going to have fun in there,” he added.
