Stop Using Eko Atlantic Project For Propaganda, ADP Tells Ambode.

…Says APC Now Unpopular In Lagos

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has urged the Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to desist from using the Eko Atlantic project for personal propaganda in his bid to project himself as a performing governor.

The spokesman for ADP in Lagos, Prince Adelaja Adeoye who spoke on Sunday during the party’s Easter broadcast message to Lagosians, said that Nigerian leaders should emulate Jesus’ exemplary life and that truth must be the bedrock of governance in the country.

While engaging with journalists on the controversial commissioning of the Eko Atlantic Project, Adelaja said it is rather too shameful that a project that was commissioned in 2013 is brought up for another commissioning by the Lagos State government just to deceive residents that they are working.

ADP said the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is fast becoming unpopular and that they now resort to all manner of deceitful acts to hoodwink Lagosians so that they can continue in office. He also said that the governor is using the state’s funds to sponsor endorsements to make Nigerians believe that they are still popular. According to him, Lagosians are truly fed up with the APC’s parasitic hold on the state.

ADP however said the governor must apologize to Nigerians for creating an impression that the Eko Atlantic Project was initiated by his government, while also tasking President Buhari and his team to do due diligence to avoid such embarrassments in the future.

The party said that the APC led government should stop making Nigeria a laughing stock before the international community due to their lack of coordination and spurious propaganda. The ADP reveals that on one part, Lagos State government claimed that Eko Atlantic was commissioned while the Presidency on the other hand refuted the claim that the president just took a tour round the facility.

The two contradicting messages were posted via the official Twitter handles of the Presidency and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

ADP has however advised Governor Ambode to get to work and stop the showmanship. The party tasks him to focus on all the abandoned projects littered all over Lagos including the Ilubirin Housing Estate project and the speed rail left hanging. The party says that these are the kind of projects the President should be invited to commission and not “bus parks.”

ADP says Lagosians should be hopeful that in 2019, they will be delivered from the hands of oppressors holding the state down.  The party claims that ADP is a special purpose vehicle  that God will to use to deliver Lagos and bring good governance that will affect the lives of all Lagosians.

The party has urged all Lagosians to be armed with their PVCs because that is the only way to bring about the desired improvement in the state.
