Help! Our 13-yr-old daughter is missing, family of MFM Regional Overseer cries

By Dayo Johnson, Akure

DETECTIVES in Ondo State are working hard to unravel the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of 13-year-old daughter of a Regional Overseer of the Mountain Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM), Beloved Olatunde, about a week ago, after school hours.

Meanwhile, the state police command has invited some staff of the girl’s   school (names withheld), located along Akure High School Road, Akure for questioning.

Beloved reportedly left home for school last Monday and has not been seen since then.

The girl, siblings and mother live in Akure while the father works as Regional Overseer of the MFM Region in Zaria, Kaduna State. The father visits home occasionally.

Narrating her ordeal, Beloved’s mother, Mrs Christiana Olatunde, said she waited on the day her daughter left home for school for her to return when it was 5pm and she had not shown up at home, she raised the alarm and a search party was organised.

Mrs Olatunde, who is also a pastor   in MFM,   said, “Our house is not too far from the school and they close at  4pm. We went to the school and it was confirmed that she was there and she was said to have even collected a vest distributed for the school inter house sports competition”.

According to her, the matter was later reported at the police station while they also made announcement on radio stations in the state capital.

The mother said they also reported the case at the palace of the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, who ordered speedy search for Beloved.

Contacted,   Ondo State police image maker Femi Joseph said they have commenced investigation into the matter.

Joseph, who said the police had not been able to trace the primary school pupil however assured that she would be found soonest.

Meanwhile, Sunday Vanguard gathered that detectives are not ruling out the possibility of an abduction.

But one of the detectives at the state police headquarters said, “If it were a case of abduction, those behind it would have contacted the parents for ransom.

“Since that had not happened and it’s exactly a week today then something else must have happened to the girl but we are not ruling out anything”.
