VCN Wheelchair Tennis fiesta holds in Lagos

Arrangements have been made for the maiden VCN Wheelchair Tennis Championship holding at the Tennis Courts of the National Stadium, Lagos.

The national championship is expected to bring top wheelchair tennis players from different parts of the country.

Tennis coach Kayode Savage, who is the coordinator of the championship confirmed that the VCN fiesta will see players featuring in male, female and Quad categories from April 16-20, 2018.

An excited Savage expressed gratitude to the VCN boss, Chief Victor Nwaribeaku (Akuru Ugo) for bankrolling the championship aimed at boosting wheelchair tennis in the country.

Meanwhile, Nwaribeaku has pledged to keep inspiring sportsmen and women in the country.

“We cannot fold our hands and watch potential talents rot away.  At VCN it’s our resolve to pay special attention to sportsmen and women. The special athletes mean much to our vision of producing the best despite all odds.

“We distribute quality sports materials and would never relent in targeting excellence in sports development, said Nwaribeaku who also confirmed that the VCN Under-15 Football Fiesta would kick off  in Lagos in August this year.
