Security expert lauds Police for curbing crime in Oyo

IBADAN — THE Chief Executive Officer of Adeseun Group of Companies, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called ‘Sunday Igboho’ has commended the Police for combating crime and criminality in Oyo state.

He also lauded the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris for his exemplary leadership style, particularly on the provision of security, which he said,  has been having positive impact in the country.

He said that the IGP has performed creditably well in office and he deserved to be commended because he is one of the best police officers the country has ever produced.

Speaking with newsmen in Ibadan recently, Mr. Adeyemo said that the IGP is a role model that other police officers who is worthy of emulation, attributing the level of peace and security of lives and proper in the country as a sound grasp of the element of the Nigeria Police.

He also maintained that with the support of all and sundry, the Nigeria Police would make sure that crime and criminals were reduced to the barest minimum.

Adeyemo stated that the Inspector-General of Police made the right choice by appointing Mr. Abiodun Odude as the number one police officer in Oyo State saying he has used his wealth of experience to combat crime and criminality in the state.

He said that since the CP came on board in Oyo State, residents have witnessed a low tide in crime perpetration because criminals knew the CP is a no nonsense  man, adding that was why he brought his high level of professionalism in discharging  his duties.

Igboho said that the quality leadership and charisma being displayed by Odude in the state has showed that the Nigeria Police have professionals combating crime rate in the state.

He also expressed appreciation to Governor Abiola Ajimobi for giving the Police the necessary support in the state, saying that the peace that is reigning has attracted a lot of investors to the state.

He also urged members of the public to give useful and adequate information to Police, adding that they needed the support and cooperation of members of the public in combating crime.

The security expert also solicited the support of Police officers in the state for CP Odude in order to make the state stands out amongst other comity of states.
