Russia Election: Diaspora to commence voting 10th, 18th march

Putin urges 'unhindered access' for humanitarian aid into Gaza

Ahead of Russia’s presidential election, the Embassy of Russian Federation in Nigeria will of 10th of March commenced Diaspora voting in Lagos and Abuja.

In a statement made available to journalists yesterday said, that the Russian Embassy in Nigeria will be the organizer and supervisor of both exercises.

According to the statement from the embassy, Russian citizens in and around Lagos would cast their vote on 10th, while those in Abuja are to vote on 18th at poll stations designed at the two centres.

The Election is expected to see 110,864,228 million Russians registered voters participate in the crucial election.

Incumbent Vladamir Putin will contest against seven other candidates to retain his seat in the crucial election that has given opportunity to Russian in Diaspora to exercise their Franchise.

Since the establishment of the position of the President of Russian in 1991, the presidential elections have taken place six times: in 1991, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 with the forthcoming march 18, 2018, making it the seventh.
