Some of the lawmakers have been telling their constituents that the governor, who is the chairman of the Board of Trustees, BoT, of APGA, promised them before last year’s governorship election that they would be given automatic tickets if they supported his reelection, adding that having fulfilled their own part of the bargain, they expect automatic ticket from the party.

But Obiano, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Social Media, Mr. Ifeanyi Aniagoh said that as a democrat, he would not condescend to the level of handpicking candidates for APGA.

According to Aniagoh, the governor never made such promise and urged lawmakers who wish to contest again for their positions to be ready for face the delegates of the party.

Aniagoh said: “The publication that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has promised return tickets for members of Anambra State House of Assembly in appreciation of their support for his re-election is a fake, malicious and false propaganda aimed at confusing the unsuspecting public.”
