Renowned Chief Emeka Anyaoku, a nationalist and the former Commonwealth Secretary General, recently celebrated his 85th birthday by organizing a football match for the youths of Nigeria at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion include; Senator Daisy Danjuma; Dr Olusegun Mimiko, former governor of Ondo State; High Chief Owolabi Salis, a New York attorney, sponsor of Free Lagos Youth Skills Empowerment Programs in 20 LGAs of Lagos and Olori Eyo Agere of Lagos and many others.
Although the revered Chief was born in January, the novelty football match organised for the youths of Nigeria on his behalf held on Sunday, March 25, 2018.
