More than 30 companies have indicated interest to participate in this year’s Babcock University career fair beginning with an exhibition fest on Sunday and Monday this week.
This would be followed by the opening ceremony and the award of the sum of two hundred thousand Naira (N200, 000) only to five unengaged alumni with best business plans to start business and career fair on Tuesday and Wednesday, and closing with the Experience on Thursday.
The likely firms at the career fair, comprising job interviews, aptitude tests, job discussions and future plans, are Deloitte and Touche, Stutern, Bedouin Nations, Jet Recruitment, Vas2Nets, Lekoil, Dixon and ricks, Stanbic IBTC and Productive People. Others are Bakers World, Unilever, WFO Roedi, UBA, New Horizons, House of Tara and Lois Nigeria Limited.
In a statement, the director of development/alumni, Mr. Adeboye Makinde, said the exhibition would showcase alumni and their wares that are in tandem with the beliefs and standards of the university for two consecutive days at the University sports complex.
The rationale, according to Makinde, is a soft way of connecting and building the confidence of the institution’s alumni.
