Urhobo Youth Employment Initiative, UYEI, has faulted Chief Great Ogboru’s criticism of factions of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State canvassing the zoning of the party’s governorship ticket to Delta North senatorial district.
Addressing newsmen in Effurun, UYEI, through its spokesperson, Mr. Efemena Ikutegbe, said: “Ogboru is not in a position to lecture anyone on ethnicism in politics. Neither Ogboru, as an Urhobo nor someone from Delta North, other than Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, will be governor in 2019.
“Another person from Delta North will endanger the turn of Urhobo to return in 2023, because such person will certainly want to rule until 2027.”
While describing the opposition in Delta as “Fuji house of commotion, populated by unserious politicians whose common denominator is their implacable hatred for one another,” UYEI said “all Urhobo must completely ignore dissenting voices and rally round Governor Okowa for a second term in 2019, preparatory to his handing over to Urhobo in 2023.”
