An opinion leader from Ofuoma oil producing community, Afiesere Oilfield, OML30, Delta State, Mr. Chris Eriyamremu has charged Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, President Generals of host communities and OML30 Community Development Board, CDB, led by Morris Idiovwa to prioritize the negotiation and singing of a new Global Memorandum of Understanding, GMoU.

Eriyamremu, who gave the advice yesterday in Warri, said: “The extension of the CDB tenure by three months was a doctrine of necessity to enable the President Generals and Heritage negotiate and sign a new GMoU and also for Heritage to willingly pay up all outstanding funds and entitlements accrued to the host communities as contained in the old GMoU before the signing of a new GMoU.

“I think the three months extension is in the interests of host communities and Heritage.”
