Immediate past Chairman of Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, EGCDF, Chief Micheal Johnny, has insisted that Okerenkoko community where the Nigerian Maritime University is sited is an Ijaw land in Gbaramatu Kingdom, adding that nobody can change it.

Johnny, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, yesterday in Warri, while reacting to a statement credited to Mofe Pirah, Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Delta State, on the Supreme Court ruling which gave Omadino people ownership of the site described the statement, as misleading and misrepresentation of facts.

“Mofe Pirah who I expect to be on the side of truth,  should know by now that the Supreme Court ruling that the Omadino people claim to have or are relying on, is strange to us the people of Okerenkoko community, in Gbaramatu kingdom.”
