Lanre Shittu Motors supports Ambode’s cleaner Lagos initiatives with JAC trucks

Foremost truck marketing company in Nigeria, Lanre Shittu Motors Ltd  has lended its support to  Governor Ambode’s  Cleaner Lagos initiative.

The renowned truck marketing company which markets JAC heavy duty trucks in Nigeria supplied the dump compactors and heavy duty trucks for  refuse disposal  in Lagos which is managed by Visionscape Sanitation Company.  Handing over the trucks at the company’s premises in Lagos on Tuesday, the Executive Director, Lanre Shittu Motors, Mr. Taiwo Shittu commended  Lagos State government for its  drive in keeping the  state clean and working with a company like Visionscape which  is reputed  for delivering world class service.

According to him, “Visionscape is a multinational company  which  has what it takes to deliver the task given to it by  Lagos State government” adding “Just give the company two months, Lagos State will be cleaner than before”.

Explaining the choice of JAC vehicles for the task, Shittu  said: “Visionscape officials visited our company  to  check the quality of vehicles and our backup capabilities. They wanted to know the quality of vehicles, the value added, after sales delivery and our flexibility. And they discovered that Lanre Shittu has the capability to deliver their needs because waste disposal requires strong equipment and backup”.

“Lanre Shittu, he further noted “is a one-stop shop for what  Visionscape wanted because apart from supplying quality JAC trucks, we have outstanding after-sales back up for any truck purchased from us . Most people in the trucking business know Lanre Shittu for what we are. We don’t toy with quality products and aftersales services”.

Comparing JAC heavy duty trucks with others in the market, he said: “The chassis of JAC trucks is in a class of its own with stronger axles and ranks among the best available across the globe.”

The ceremony according to Mr. Shittu marks the take off  of  a business relationship as more trucks will be made available in the next phase.“This order is the first phase. We are willing to  replicate what we did with Mark Motors with JAC  vehicles  in Nigeria by  turning the brand to a household name. The beauty of everything here is that  JAC heavy duty  trucks are assembled in Nigeria and Visionscape is bent on patronising  made in Nigeria brands” he noted.

He however, pointed out that being assembled in Nigeria does not in anyway make  JAC trucks inferior.“JAC competes  with leading European  and American truck makers in terms of quality. With JAC backed by Lanre Shittu Motors, you’ll never  be  stranded on the road, he added.”

To this end, the Executive Director said  JAC, Lanre Shittu Motors and Visionscape will deliver excellent services to Lagosians adding that “everything is not about profit, as JAC is after growth of their  business in Nigeria.Already, Lanre Shittu  Motors has retrained  100 truck drivers for  effective delivery. “We have positioned ourselves well for the business, as no company understands truck business in Nigeria like Lanre Shittu. We know the importance of downtime,” he added. The JAC trucks for waste management are special vehicles as some of them are built in such a way that they can be loaded from all sides as the truck moves slowly, to save time.
