Lagos State government says it is making a case for a customer-centre public service to ensure a good  relationship between public servants and customers, saying it will improve the quality of service delivery in public service.

The state government, during a training programme organised for senior executives, hinted that public service organisations that do not understand customers’ changing needs, will receive complaints that require additional resources to solve.

Speaking on behalf of  Governor  Akinwunmi Ambode, the Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry of Establishments, Training, and Pensions, Dr.  Akintola Oke, quoting McKinsey and Company, said, ‘’Transforming service delivery  begins with understanding citizens’ needs and priorities”.
