PORT HARCOURT: There was fear Tuesday as an aircraft lands in the bush at Port Harcourt International Airport, Omuagwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred after a heavy down pour in parts of the state around 8:00p.m, although no life was reported lost.
At press time, there was no official confirmation from any relevant authority, but it was gathered that the development caused panic at the airport.
A source, who did not want her name in print told Vanguard that an aircraft belonging to Dana Air was trying to land on the runway but veered off the tarmac and landed in the nearby bush
The source confirmed that no passenger on board died, but noted that the occupants of the plane were evacuated from the bush to the lounge.
