A chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, and a presidential aspirant of the party, Chief Charles Udo Udeogaranya has commended the 8th National Assembly for amending the 2019 election timetable.
According to Udeogaranya in a release, “this 8th Assembly has ensured that political parties will not rip off public elective offices aspirants with outrageous amounts for a mere nomination fee by putting a limit to it and many more amendments of such.
“I sincerely appreciate all the historic amendments the 8th Assembly has done and in my opinion, they have outperformed all the other arms of government in this 4th Republic.
“I would like to remind them that they remain the engine room of our democracy and should never allow themselves to be reduced into a mere rubber stamp even in the face of all manner of persecution, particularly in their re-order of election time-table where presidential election must hold last.”
“This order of 2019 elections amendment is premised on the word on marble that you save the best for last.”
