ASABA—YOUTHS under the aegis of Ndokwa East Youths Association, NEYA, yesterday, urged Delta State Commissioner for Lands, Surveys and Urban Development, Mr. Chika Ossai, to vie for the state House of Assembly seat for the Ndokwa East constituency in the 2019 general election.
They made the call through a motion moved by Mr lucky Iyanma and seconded by Mr Basil Agbanashi.
Speaking at Iselegu when he led members of NEYA on a visit to the commissioner, President General of the association, Mr Simeon Chukwuemeke, said the call became necessary after due consultation, adding that Ossai’s relationship with leaders and landmark achievements within a short time as a commissioner were overwhelming.
Commending Ossai for his assistance to the youths in Ndokwa East and bringing electricity to the area after eight years of darkness, he assured the commissioner of total support from Ndokwa East youths any time he makes up his mind to run for the House of Assembly position.
Responding, Ossai thanked the youths for their support for the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and ensuring that absolute peace reigns in the council.
