UGHELLI — AHEAD of the 2019 general elections, leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has met with ward chairmen and chairmen of the party in Delta Central senatorial district with a charge on them to be more proactive.
The meeting held at Evwreni, country home of the APC leader, is geared towards rejuvenating the party in Delta Central.
In his address to the party chairmen and secretaries, Emerhor charged them to engage in activities geared towards expanding and consolidating on the membership base of the party.
Speaking on the membership drive of the party, Emerhor urged them not to relent in promoting the ideals of the party, adding: “You need to be more active, expand and consolidate the base of the party by winning more people to the party.
“I want you all to be committed to the ideals of the party and remain steadfast in APC’s quest to taking over the state come 2019.”
Applauding Emerhor for the meeting, Ughelli North council chairman and secretary for Ughelli South council, Chief Felix Ekure and Chief Jiminyevwe Ubu respectively, commended him for his leadership style and efforts in positioning the party as a vibrant opposition in the state.
