AKURE—THE All Progressives Congress, APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State, yesterday engaged in war of words over the performance of governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s first year in officer.
While the PDP insisted that Akeredolu had not performed to the expectations of the people, the APC, on its part, said the governor’s achievements abound across the state.
Akeredolu was sworn in as governor of Ondo State February 23, 2017.
The PDP Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP, Ayo Fadaka, who spoke while featuring a personality programme on Adaba FM in Akure, described the APC administration in the state as “a clueless government without any direction.”
But in a swift reaction, the Information and Orientation Commissioner, Yemi Olowolabi, said “the current administration had performed better than administration of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko-led, when comparing the first year of both administrations.
