The equities trading on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, for the five days trading sessions ended on Friday, saw Sixty-six (66) companies, appreciating in price, higher than fifty-five (55) of the previous week. Seven (7) equities depreciated in price, lower than twelve (12) equities of the previous week, while ninety-nine (99) equities remained unchanged lower than one hundred and five (105) equities recorded in the preceding week.
The top five price gainers are Honeywell Flour Mills Plc rising by N1.00 per share to close at N3.52 per share, followed by Skye Bank Plc 23 kobo per share to close at 84 kobo per share. Champion Breweries Plc gained 79 kobo per share to close at N2.95 per share, followed by Sterling Bank Plc rising by 50 kobo per share to close at N1.91 and Diamond Bank Plc appreciated by 65 kobo per share to close at N2.54 per share.
Conversely, the top five losers are MEYER Plc, declining by 9 kobo to close at 61kobo per share, followed by Glaxo smithkline Consumer Nigeria Plc dropping by 60 kobo per share to close at 21.50 per share. Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc dropped by 58 kobo per share to close at N21.27 per share, followed by UACN Property Development Company which depreciated by 7 kobo per share to close at N3.00 per share and Flour Mills Nigeria Plc declined by 53 kobo to close at N31.35 per share.
