Abuja – The FIBA 3×3 World Cup 2018 will feature 40 teams from 37 different countries in Manila, Philippines from June 8 to June 12, with Nigeria being one of them.
The event, being organised by FIBA in cooperation with the Basketball Federation of the Philippines (SBP) will be the fifth edition of the competition.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Russia’s women and Serbia’s men teams won the competition’s last edition played from June 17 to June 21 in Nantes, France.
Both teams were automatically qualified for the event, as well as the Filipino hosts.
The other teams earned their tickets to the FIBA 3×3 World Cup by virtue of their position in the FIBA 3×3 Federation Ranking.
